sometimes you hear something and think ‘that is so nice i want to play it on a loop til my speakers wear out’, sometimes you hear something and think ‘bloody hell that SOUNDS like Friday and sunshine’ and sometimes you hear something and think ‘i want all of this in my ear forever’. this track (and the rest of the EP) is all of those thoughts.

if you haven’t heard this yet, i really hope for your sake you live under a rock/are trapped in someone’s basement or a Chilean mine. if i was a bit cooler i’d probably say this was hella trill. i’m not so i’m just going to say it’s fucking awesome. 

kind of tempted to do some sensational typing about guitar bands coming ‘BACK’ but err, they never really ‘went’? did they? was too busy watching all the -step movements. 

Lovepark are making all the right kind of noises for me. Brighton based indie guitar pop, lovely.

just wanted to do a little post to say Happy New Year’s Eve to everyone! not sure how it’s actually possible but i might be more excited about music than i have ever been before. 2012 looks like it will have us all dancing on the ceiling.

out today. still keeping things warm regardless of the season, the new single from London’s Maribou State is a piece of dancefloor gold that has been seriously and slickly crafted. available on Fat! Records.

you wouldn’t believe the things that i have seen.

a haunting, enthralling, completely captivating release from Off Modern’s Gabriel Bruce. ‘Sleep Paralysis’ is creepy to the point of total intrigue. the vinyl, which has been incorporated into an illustrated book that features anecdotes, drawings, medical texts and a whole host of other material based on the song title subject, looks like it’s going to be one hell of a special release. out on Dec 5th - preorder it here.

so i have this system on facebook whereby when Ross from Truants posts a link to some music with this face: O_O i know it is going to be painfully good. as if i needed more proof that the system works, this just went up. the face strikes again.
